Although we can learn a lot from our parents' experiences, the truth is that one day, they too will pass on. In choosing the path to take, we must be ready to walk down that path on our own. We can only have the strength to move on in our chosen directions if we started out to be our own persons.
We must give ourselves a chance to lead the life that we know is best for our health and well-being. We are each unique and valuable in our own ways. What has worked for someone else may not work for you. Listen to your heart. It will tell you the real answer.

Hi anndrea, I love that little picture of your blog. I am growing up and it's sort of mixed and confused without my parents'around.
I will try to follow my heart but many times my mind will tell me not to. It's funny isn't it ? Thanks.
Hi Anndrea,it's not very right just to listen to our heart. My experiences taught me the heart gave me the feeling, whereas my mind helped me to decide. In our culture, i always heard grandma n mom said " follow your heart you'll die, follow your mind you survive" ! I don't know how true is d saying ? Thanks
Thank you for sharing your mum and grandma's advice. It is a poetic way of what my mother tells me too: be rational!
What I meant to point out is that to find our true passion and survive happily, we need to balance the analytical mind with the honest heart that will tell you the truth if you spend some quiet and still moments with yourself.
